WRITE TWO NEW POEMS copying/following the exact line count, stanza count (if there are any), end rhyme schemes (if there are any). In addition to that, you must address any of the ideas or themes associated with that particular poem.
After counting lines and end rhyme, you know that the poem you will be writing must be a total of eight lines, with roughly the same amount of words in each line and must follow the end rhyme scheme charted out above. So note: land, understand / too, knew / eye, die / Cain, train. —you do not need to have the exact same sounding end words, but, you need to make sure that last words of lines 1 and 2 rhyme, and that last words lines 3 and 4 rhyme and so on.
Poem number 1: “She Said She Would Prefer a Broken Neck”
poem number 2: “dear white America”
