Part 1
Q1. Name 3 global companies that are extremely success and have users all over the world.
a.
b.
c.
Q2. Do some research. Where are these products made? For example, Toyota Corolla is made in 13 countries and 16 plants around the world. In the U. S. alone, there are 63,000 suppliers (e.g. suppliers who make windshield, windshield wiper, window button, car mat, etc.) , and countless more if you include the global suppliers.
How do we know that Toyota is practicing ethical behavior in ALL the places they do business in? This includes their own plants, the relationship with their suppliers, etc. In a country like the U.S. where the labor law is very strict, Toyota must treat their employees to the standard mandated by the U.S. law. How about other countries in which they operate? What if the standard of the labor law is lower or even non-existent?
For the companies you have listed in Q1, do some research.
a. How many countries are involved in producing the final products for company A
b. How many suppliers are involved in producing some of the components for company A
c. How many countries are involved in producing the final products for company B
d. How many suppliers are involved in producing some of the components for company B
e. How many countries are involved in producing the final products for company C
f. How many suppliers are involved in producing some of the components for company C

c. How is company C treating their employees and suppliers?
d. How are the suppliers of company A treating their workers/laborers?
e. How are the suppliers of company B treating their workers/laborers?
f. How are the suppliers of company C treating their workers/laborers?
Q4. How do we know what these global companies are saying on their corporate website about their CSR activities and ethical practices are true?
After all, they have money to hire good publicists to write positive things, legal team to ensure they are at the minimum abiding by the law (or are they), legal team to defend them should they be discovered that they are behaving subpar in other countries.
